"Why should you believe me? Relations between authorship and authority in ancient historiography and in the post-modern world" is a Newton International Fellowship research project in Classics and Ancient History funded by The British Academy, taking place between 2018 and 2020 at Newcastle University (UK) and Federal University of Rio de Janeiro State (UNIRIO - Brazil).

In 2017, a previous version of this project was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship, and took place at Florida State University, under the supervision of Prof. John Marincola.
